The 65-minute film, which originally debuted in 2001, serves as a visual companion to Daft Punk's groundbreaking album "Discovery." Created in collaboration with legendary anime director Leiji Matsumoto and Toei Animation, the movie tells the story of an alien band abducted by an evil human with nefarious intentions. The narrative unfolds entirely through music, featuring beloved tracks such as "One More Time," "Digital Love," and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger."

This theatrical release will showcase a 4K remastered version of the film, offering audiences a chance to experience the stunning animation on the big screen like never before. In addition to the main feature, the event will include a selection of Daft Punk music videos directed by renowned filmmakers such as Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, and Roman Coppola.

Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "This is a rare opportunity to experience the film on the big screen, along with accompanying Daft Punk music videos, and we can't wait to share it with audiences everywhere."

For those unable to attend the theatrical screening, a special edition of "Discovery" will be released on December 13. Titled "Discovery: Interstella 5555 Edition," this limited release will feature the original Japanese edition artwork, stickers, and a Daft Club card. Collectors can look forward to 5,555 gold vinyl pressings, 5,555 numbered CDs, and a limited run of black vinyl.

Tickets for the theatrical event are set to go on sale on November 13. This unique celebration of Daft Punk's legacy offers fans a chance to relive the magic of "Interstella 5555" and introduces a new generation to this groundbreaking fusion of music and animation.
