Legendary British post-punk band Gang of Four has unveiled plans for their final tour across North America in 2025. Dubbed "The Long Goodbye Tour," this series of concerts will commemorate the group's influential career and mark the 45th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, "Entertainment!"

The farewell tour is set to kick off on April 20, 2025, at the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville, Massachusetts. Over the course of the tour, the band will make 25 stops in various cities throughout the United States and Canada.

Gang of Four's current lineup features founding members Jon King on vocals and Hugo Burnham on drums, alongside newer additions David Pajo on guitar and Gail Greenwood on bass. This iteration of the band will perform two sets at each show: the first set will showcase "Entertainment!" in its entirety, while the second will feature a selection of fan favorites and hit songs from their extensive catalog.

Formed in Leeds, England, in 1976, Gang of Four quickly rose to prominence with their unique blend of punk rock, funk, and dance music. Their politically charged lyrics and innovative sound have influenced countless artists over the years, including R.E.M., Nirvana, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The band's impact on the music industry is undeniable, with Rolling Stone magazine ranking "Entertainment!" as the fifth greatest punk album of all time. Throughout their career, Gang of Four has released ten studio albums and charted in the US with singles like "I Love a Man in a Uniform" and "Is It Love?"

The announcement of this farewell tour comes in the wake of founding guitarist Andy Gill's passing in 2020. As the band prepares to close this chapter of their musical journey, they invite fans to join them in celebrating their legacy one last time.

Tickets for "The Long Goodbye Tour" will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on Friday, October 4, giving fans the opportunity to secure their spots for this historic final run.
