Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has excited fans with news that her long-awaited solo tour could finally become reality in 2025, nearly five years after the original plans were derailed by COVID-19.

The singer shared the update in an Instagram story celebrating her 36th birthday, expressing hope about finally bringing her solo material to live audiences. "I'm going to try and finally play some shows next year that would've happened nearly 5 years ago now," Williams wrote, adding a cautious note about world events potentially affecting these plans.

The original tour was meant to support Williams' solo albums "Petals for Armor," announced in March 2020 just before pandemic lockdowns began. At the time, she had candidly shared her mix of excitement and nerves about performing without her Paramore bandmates for the first time.

When COVID-19 forced the cancellation of live performances, Williams adapted by delivering virtual shows, including a memorable NPR Tiny Desk concert from Nashville. She later reunited with Paramore for their album "This Is Why" and joined Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Now, with a clearer schedule ahead, Williams appears ready to revisit her solo aspirations. While she hasn't specified whether the potential 2025 tour will showcase "Petals for Armor" material or new songs, her birthday message hinted at creative growth: "35 felt like tilling soil and throwing little seeds down... 36 is exciting and a little scary, already. So much to hope for."

The announcement offers fans who missed the chance in 2020 an opportunity to experience Williams' solo artistry in a live setting, marking a new chapter in her evolving musical journey.
