After over five decades of musical excellence, Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) has announced their final show, but frontman Jeff Lynne confirms he isn't stepping away from music entirely.

The band's Over and Out Tour will conclude with a grand finale at London's Hyde Park on July 13, marking the end of ELO's remarkable live performance era that began in 1970. In an exciting development for fans of the legendary British band, Jeff Lynne's ELO has announced two additional UK dates for their 'Over and Out Tour' in 2025. The group will now perform at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on July 5 and Manchester's Co-op Live on July 9, leading up to their grand finale at London's BST Hyde Park on July 13.

"It will certainly be an emotional show for me," Lynne told Mojo magazine. "Touring the world has been an incredible experience, and I'm always surprised and thrilled by the energy of the crowds. I will miss it."

While the news may disappoint longtime fans, Lynne clarified that this isn't his retirement from music. The acclaimed musician and producer plans to focus on his true passion - studio work. His impressive production portfolio includes collaborations with music icons like George Harrison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, and Randy Newman.

For the remaining shows on the Over and Out Tour, Lynne promised fans will hear all their favorite hits. "These are the final shows, so anything could happen," he hinted, suggesting possible surprises during the performances.

The band's journey has seen multiple transformations since its formation by Lynne and Roy Wood in 1970. After disbanding in 1986, Lynne briefly revived ELO in the early 2000s before launching Jeff Lynne's ELO in 2014, which has successfully toured for the past decade.

"I'm proud of what I've achieved, and the fans' reactions to the music and performances have been incredible. But this is not a goodbye to music," Lynne emphasized, reassuring fans that while ELO's touring chapter may be closing, his musical journey continues.
