Pop sensation Lorde has broken her musical silence, offering fans a glimpse of her upcoming fourth studio album through a 15-second TikTok teaser. The New Zealand singer-songwriter made her debut on the platform on April 9, sharing a clip of herself running through New York City's Washington Square Park.

In the video, Lorde sports a casual ensemble of a white button-down shirt, loose-fitting jeans, and a silver chainlink belt while a new synth-driven track plays. The brief musical snippet features lyrics: "Since I was 17, I gave you everything / Now we wake from a dream, well baby, what was that?/ What was that?"

This marks Lorde's first major musical release since her 2021 album "Solar Power." The artist has maintained a consistent four-year release pattern throughout her career, starting with "Pure Heroine" in 2013, followed by "Melodrama" in 2017, suggesting her next album could arrive in 2025.

Behind the scenes, Lorde has assembled an impressive creative team. Producer Jim-E Stack, known for his work with artists like Bon Iver and The Kid Laroi, has joined the project. Additionally, musician Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) is reportedly collaborating with Lorde, as the pair have been spotted together frequently in New York City.

While the album's title and exact release date remain under wraps, this teaser follows a previous hint shared on Instagram last July, where Lorde posted a brief studio recording alongside photos of her recording process.
