At 84 years old, former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr continues spreading his enduring message of peace and love while making new music and performing live shows.
The legendary musician, who resides in Beverly Hills, maintains an active touring schedule with his All Starr Band, playing a mix of Beatles classics, his solo hits, and songs from his bandmates. Despite repeatedly claiming each tour will be his last, Starr keeps returning to the stage.
"I've had enough; I've done enough," Starr often declares. "And I get a phone call: 'Well, we've got 10 gigs if you're interested.' 'Okay.' And we're on the road again."
His latest album "Look Up" reached #1 on the UK Country Artists chart, showcasing Starr's lifelong connection to country music. The record features collaborations with artists like Alison Krauss and focuses on themes of gratitude and resilience.
Starr stays connected with fellow surviving Beatle Paul McCartney through regular FaceTime calls and visits. "He's the only one who knows," Starr says of McCartney, referring to their unique shared experience as Beatles.
Despite the world's challenges, Starr maintains his optimistic outlook. He continues promoting his signature message at concerts and events, leading global "peace and love" moments on his July 7 birthday that now span 34 nations.
"I can't force you to be peaceful and loving; I can only say, 'Peace and love,'" Starr explains. Through his music and presence, he remains committed to spreading positivity while doing what he loves - playing drums with a band.
