Boomtown Festival has revealed its first wave of artists for 2025, marking an early announcement that breaks from its traditional last-minute lineup releases. The festival's 16th edition, titled "Chapter 4: Power Of Now," will take place at Winchester's Matterley Bowl from August 6-10, 2025.
Headlining the festival is a groundbreaking collaboration between punk legends Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, alongside dancehall superstar Sean Paul, electronic duo Maribou State, and rising star Nia Archives. The eclectic bill also includes Azealia Banks, The Blessed Madonna, and disco icons Boney M.
The 2025 edition introduces the new 'Hydro' stage, dedicated to house, techno, and disco music. The festival's iconic Origin stage has been reimagined as 'The Lions Gate,' taking the form of an ancient temple.
Nova Twins, who are returning to the festival, expressed their enthusiasm: "We're so happy to be coming back to Boomtown this summer. We have so many amazing memories of this festival, on and off the stage!"
The festival is expanding beyond its Downtown bowl area into surrounding hills, valleys, and woodland, promising more space for exploration and discovery. This expansion will accommodate the festival's diverse programming, which spans genres from hip-hop and post-punk to reggae, drum and bass, and psytrance.
Organizers have revealed that over 600 more acts will be announced for the four-day event, promising a "vibrant tapestry of sound" across multiple stages and hidden venues.
Tickets for Boomtown 2025 are now available for purchase.
