Rock legend Neil Young has unveiled plans for his highly anticipated "Love Earth Tour" in 2025, featuring his new backing band the Chrome Hearts. The extensive tour will span Europe and North America, marking Young's grand return to large-scale touring after several years away from the road.
The global trek kicks off on June 18 in Rättvik, Sweden, followed by shows across Europe before heading to North America starting August 8 in Charlotte, NC. The tour concludes with a spectacular finale at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 15.
Young's new band, the Chrome Hearts, consists of veteran musicians including Spooner Oldham on Farfisa organ, Micah Nelson on guitar and vocals, Corey McCormick handling bass and vocals, and Anthony LoGerfo on drums.
The announcement comes after Young's brief return to performing in 2023 with solo dates and a short-lived Crazy Horse tour in early 2024 that was cut short due to illness.
In an official statement, Young expressed his enthusiasm: "Music unites! We will be there with you! Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy." He promised fans a mix of "old songs and new songs, old words and new words [and] long jams!"
The Chrome Hearts recently recorded their debut album with Young, reportedly titled "Talking to the Trees," with the first single already released.
Tickets will be available through a 48-hour presale for Neil Young Archives members starting Tuesday, February 25, followed by general public sales beginning Friday, February 28 through Ticketmaster.
The tour includes notable venues such as Dublin's Malahide Castle, Germany's Waldbühne, Toronto's Budweiser Stage, and The Gorge in Washington state, promising an unforgettable series of performances for fans worldwide.
