Post Malone has achieved an unwanted record at the 2025 Grammy Awards, becoming the most recognizable artist with the most nominations without securing a win. After going 0-for-8 at this year's ceremony, the singer-songwriter's total Grammy nominations without a victory has risen to 18.
The "I Had Some Help" artist was nominated across multiple categories this year, including three country categories, one pop category, and four all-genre categories such as Record of the Year and Best Recording Packaging. His nominations included both solo work and collaborations with Morgan Wallen, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift.
Prior to his venture into country music, Post Malone had already accumulated 10 unsuccessful nominations. His first Grammy nods came in 2019 for songs from "Beerbongs & Bentleys," and he has consistently received multiple nominations nearly every year since then. Notable songs like "Sunflower" and "Circles" earned nominations but failed to secure wins.
While Post Malone now shares the second-place spot for most nominations without a win alongside Indian classical music conductor Zubin Mehta at 18 nominations, sound engineer Chris Gehringer holds the overall record with 21 nominations without a victory.
Other notable artists who have yet to win a Grammy despite multiple nominations include Snoop Dogg and Björk with 16 each, and Katy Perry with 13 nominations.
There is a technical note regarding Post Malone's Grammy status. Due to a rule change, artists featured on Album of the Year winners receive a Grammy by association. As Post Malone collaborated with Beyoncé on "Levi's Jeans" from her winning album, he could technically receive an award. However, the Grammy website currently does not recognize him as a Grammy winner.
