The enigmatic British rock band Sleep Token has achieved a major milestone with their first gold certification in the United States. Their hit single "The Summoning" from their third studio album "Take Me Back To Eden" has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Released in January 2023, "The Summoning" became a viral sensation, helping establish Sleep Token as an arena-filling headlining act. The certification represents 500,000 equivalent units, calculated through a combination of traditional sales, digital downloads, and streaming numbers.

The achievement comes during a breakthrough year for the masked collective. Their album "Take Me Back To Eden" recently won Top Hard Rock Album at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, solidifying their growing influence in the rock music scene.

The band's upward trajectory shows no signs of slowing down. After signing with RCA Records in February 2024, Sleep Token is set to headline the prestigious Download Festival in the UK next June - their largest performance to date. Industry insiders hint at new material potentially arriving in 2025.

Under RIAA guidelines, the gold certification factors in various consumption metrics, with 10 permanent track downloads or 1,500 on-demand audio/video streams counting as one unit, alongside traditional physical and digital sales.

The success of "The Summoning" marks a defining moment for Sleep Token, as they continue their transformation from an underground phenomenon into a mainstream rock powerhouse.
