In an exciting development for rock music enthusiasts, progressive metal titans Tool have unveiled plans for their very own destination festival, "Live in the Sand." Set to take place from March 7-9, 2025, on the picturesque beaches of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, this all-inclusive event promises an unforgettable experience for fans.

The three-day extravaganza will feature two unique performances by Tool, headlining on Friday and Saturday nights. Joining them on the bill are an impressive array of acts, including the eclectic Primus, heavy-hitters Mastodon, and prog-rock stalwarts Coheed and Cambria.

Other notable performers include Josh Homme's Eagles of Death Metal, pioneering prog-metal act King's X, and funk-metal fusion band Fishbone. Up-and-coming Finnish prog-metal outfit Wheel, the Jackass-approved CKY, and indie-rocker Moon Walker round out the musical lineup. Adding a visual dimension to the event, renowned artists Alex and Allyson Grey will be present as special guests.

The festival offers luxurious accommodations at either the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino or Royalton resorts, both situated along Punta Cana's famous white-sand beaches. Packages include resort rooms, unlimited food and drinks, and access to all musical performances.

Beyond the music, attendees can partake in various exciting excursions, such as ziplining, snorkeling with marine life, catamaran voyages, and immersive adventures at Scape Eco-Park.

Tool bassist Justin Chancellor expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, "2025 is shaping up nicely. See you all there for what should be an unforgettable weekend of music!"

Ticket packages for "Live in the Sand" will be available starting October 30th at 10 a.m. PT, with flexible payment plans offered. This Caribbean debut for Tool will be followed by the band's first-ever South American tour, including headline slots at major festivals like Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

As Tool continues to expand their live performances globally, fans eagerly anticipate both this unique festival experience and the possibility of new music on the horizon.
