In an emotional finale to her Las Vegas residency, Adele wrapped up her "Weekends with Adele" shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, November 24. The 16-time Grammy winner delivered heartfelt messages to her loved ones and fans during her 100th and final performance.
The 36-year-old singer became tearful as she addressed her 14-year-old son Angelo, explaining her choice to do a residency instead of touring. "I chose to do a residency mainly because I f------ hate touring," Adele shared candidly. "But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal...Thank you for being patient for me."
The "Someone Like You" artist also expressed gratitude to her partner, sports agent Rich Paul, whom she's referred to as her husband during previous shows. She thanked him for his constant support and encouragement, particularly during challenging moments when she felt emotionally or physically drained.
A notable highlight of Adele's residency came when Céline Dion attended her October 26 show. The meeting provided what Adele described as a "full-circle moment," revealing that Dion was her inspiration for performing at The Colosseum. "I cried for a whole week," she admitted, emphasizing the personal significance of performing in the venue originally built for Dion.
Looking ahead, Adele left her future plans uncertain, telling her audience, "I don't know when I'm next going to perform again...I'm actually s------ myself about what I am going to do. I don't have any f------ plans." However, she assured fans of her eventual return to the stage, noting that singing is "the only thing I'm good at."
The residency, which began in November 2022, marked a special chapter in Adele's career. She acknowledged the effort fans made to see her in Las Vegas, describing it as "just what I needed for this season of my life."
