Pop superstar Lady Gaga has unveiled plans for her seventh studio album "Mayhem," set to release on March 7. The announcement came through eye-catching billboards that appeared overnight in New York and Las Vegas.

The new album marks Gaga's first full studio release since 2020's "Chromatica" and follows her recent work on "Joker: Folie à Deux." Fans can expect an eclectic mix of musical styles, as the artist revealed in a recent Los Angeles Times interview that the album spans multiple genres and represents different creative visions.

"It leaps around genre in a way that's almost corrupt," Gaga explained, noting that despite the chaotic journey, the album concludes on an uplifting note of love and peace. The project features her chart-topping collaboration with Bruno Mars, "Die With a Smile," along with her latest single "Disease," released in multiple versions.

The album appears to take listeners on a personal journey through Gaga's past experiences and reflections. "Every song that I wrote, I just kept getting kind of swept away in these different dreams I was having about the past — almost like a recollection of all these bad decisions that I made in my life," she shared.

"Mayhem" joins Gaga's impressive catalog of number-one albums, including "Born This Way," "Artpop," "Cheek to Cheek" with Tony Bennett, "Joanne," and the "A Star Is Born" soundtrack.

Ahead of the album's release, fans can catch Lady Gaga performing at the FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles on January 30, alongside artists like Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, and Billie Eilish, supporting victims of recent wildfires.

A countdown clock on the singer's website points to an upcoming announcement at 11 a.m. ET on Monday, suggesting more details about "Mayhem" may soon be revealed.
