The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Friday that rock musician Marilyn Manson will not face criminal charges following a four-year investigation into multiple allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence.

District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman stated that prosecutors could not pursue domestic violence charges as they fall outside the statute of limitations. Additionally, they determined they could not prove sexual assault charges beyond a reasonable doubt.

The 56-year-old singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, had faced accusations from several women, including his former fiancée actress Evan Rachel Wood and "Game of Thrones" actress Esmé Bianco. The allegations included claims of rape, sexual assault, and torture.

Manson's attorney Howard King welcomed the decision, stating that the investigation confirmed what they had maintained from the beginning - that Warner is innocent.

The investigation included a raid of Manson's West Hollywood apartment in late 2021 by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives. Despite multiple allegations, including a lawsuit from a woman claiming assault in 1995 when she was 16, prosecutors found insufficient evidence to proceed with charges.

While acknowledging they couldn't bring charges, the District Attorney's office praised the courage of the women who came forward, noting their advocacy has helped raise awareness about domestic abuse and sexual assault survivors' challenges.

Manson has consistently denied all allegations, describing them as "horrible distortions of reality" and maintaining his past relationships were consensual. The singer continues his musical career with European tour dates and upcoming U.S. concerts scheduled for May.
