The iconic indie film Garden State celebrated its 20th anniversary with a star-studded concert at Los Angeles' Greek Theater on March 29, featuring performances from nearly every artist on its Grammy-winning soundtrack.

The sold-out show brought together beloved indie acts including The Shins, who performed their life-changing tracks "New Slang" and "Caring is Creepy." In a special reunion, Remy Zero reformed exclusively for the event, performing their soundtrack contribution "Fair" along with their Smallville theme song "Save Me."

Frou Frou, featuring Imogen Heap and Guy Sigsworth, took the stage for their first live performance since 2019. Other performers included Iron & Wine, Colin Hay, Thievery Corporation, Cary Brothers, and Sophie Barker of Zero 7.

While Coldplay and Simon & Garfunkel were notably absent, rising star Laufey and The Milk Carton Kids stepped in to cover their respective songs. Iron & Wine also paid tribute to Nick Drake with a rendition of "One of These Things First."

The event doubled as a fundraiser for The Midnight Mission, a Los Angeles homeless services organization. Film stars Zach Braff and Natalie Portman made appearances, alongside Danny DeVito and Braff's former Scrubs castmates Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke.

For fans who missed the live show, the concert will be available to stream starting April 6, with proceeds continuing to benefit The Midnight Mission.

The Garden State soundtrack, released in 2004, peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and won the 2005 Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, helping launch several indie artists to mainstream success.
