In a historic moment at London's O2 Arena, Paul McCartney closed his "Got Back" world tour with surprise appearances from fellow Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.
The 82-year-old McCartney delighted the 20,000-strong crowd when he welcomed his former Beatles bandmate Starr, 84, to the stage during the encore. The duo performed Beatles classics "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" and "Helter Skelter," marking their first live collaboration since 2019.
"Should we rock?" McCartney asked as Starr took his place behind the drum kit, leading to an electrifying performance that had fans on their feet.
Earlier in the show, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, 77, joined McCartney for a rendition of "Get Back" - a unprecedented moment marking the first-ever on-stage collaboration between members of the Beatles and Rolling Stones.
The star-studded audience included Hollywood royalty George Clooney, Dame Judi Dench, Martin Freeman, and physicist Brian Cox. McCartney's son James, 47, was also spotted in the VIP section.
The concert wrapped up McCartney's successful £154 million world tour, which included 59 shows across four continents. Throughout the tour, McCartney paid tribute to his late Beatles bandmates John Lennon and George Harrison while performing hits spanning his career with the Beatles, Wings, and his solo work.
The finale at the O2 Arena featured 36 songs, including seasonal favorite "Wonderful Christmastime," making it a fitting end to the legendary musician's global journey.
