The remaining members of legendary rock band Soundgarden are set to perform at an upcoming benefit concert for Seattle Children's Hospital. The special performance will take place on December 14th at The Showbox in Seattle, Washington.

Guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and drummer Matt Cameron will take the stage under the name "Nudedragons" - an anagram of Soundgarden that the band previously used. Seattle vocalist Shaina Shepherd will join the trio for what is being billed as "a brief encore performance."

This marks the first time in over 14 years that the band will perform at The Showbox, which holds special significance as the venue where Soundgarden played their reunion show in April 2010 after a 13-year hiatus. That performance was also done under the Nudedragons moniker.

Since the tragic loss of lead singer Chris Cornell in 2017, the surviving members have performed together on select occasions, including a 2019 tribute concert for Cornell and a 2021 collaboration with Brandi Carlile featuring Soundgarden classics "Black Hole Sun" and "Searching With My Good Eye Closed."

The upcoming SMooCH benefit show represents another rare opportunity to see the influential Seattle band's members perform together, while supporting an important cause for their hometown community.

Tickets for the charitable event are currently available through the SMooCH organization's website.
