St. Vincent dominated the alternative music categories at the 67th Grammy Awards, taking home both Best Alternative Music Album for "All Born Screaming" and Best Alternative Music Performance for her single "Flea."

The artist, whose real name is Annie Clark, delivered heartfelt acceptance speeches acknowledging her collaborators and fellow nominees. Upon winning Best Alternative Music Performance, Clark thanked her team, including Dave Grohl and Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who contributed to "Flea." She also playfully referenced the awards show band's choice of Beck's "Devil's Haircut" as her walk-up music.

During her Best Alternative Music Album acceptance speech, Clark made a touching dedication to her wife and young daughter - a personal revelation that surprised many fans. "This record was obviously a labor of love. Making records is like building a house when you have no floor plans and you don't know what wood or concrete is," she remarked.

Speaking to reporters afterward, Clark explained she had intentionally kept her family life private, noting with a laugh that her child is still very young.

The evening proved particularly successful for St. Vincent, who also claimed Best Rock Song for "Broken Man" from the same album. Her only loss in the rock categories came when "Broken Man" was bested by The Beatles' "Now and Then" for Best Rock Performance.

Clark's "All Born Screaming," released in spring 2024, was later followed by "Todos Nacen Gritando," a Spanish-language version of the album. These Grammy wins bring her career total to six, cementing her position as a leading voice in alternative music.
