Celtic punk band Flogging Molly has announced the cancellation of all their 2025 tour dates due to serious health concerns affecting frontman Dave King. The Los Angeles-based group shared the news via social media, though specific details about King's condition remain private.
"Our fearless leader, the inimitable Dave King, is currently battling a very serious health condition," the band stated in their announcement. King's wife and bandmate, violinist Bridget Regan, has requested privacy during this time.
The cancellation affects an extensive tour schedule that was set to begin on February 24, spanning across the United States, Europe, and Canada through August 2025. While the band won't be performing, their annual Salty Dog Cruise will proceed as planned from February 17-22, featuring 18 other bands and some Flogging Molly members celebrating their community and King's legacy.
The Dublin-born King, 63, founded Flogging Molly in 1994 after an earlier career as the vocalist for heavy metal band Fastway. Under his leadership, Flogging Molly has released multiple successful albums, with their 2008 release "Float" reaching No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
Fans holding tickets for the canceled 2025 shows are directed to seek refunds from their original point of purchase. The band has expressed gratitude for fans' support and welcomed "good thoughts or prayers" for King during this challenging time.
