Metal icons System of a Down have revealed plans for three monumental stadium concerts in 2025, featuring an all-star lineup of rock heavyweights including Deftones, Korn, and crossover genres System of a Down.
The Live Nation-produced events will kick off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 28, where System of a Down will share the stage with nu-metal pioneers Korn. The series continues at Chicago's Soldier Field on August 31 with special guests Avenged Sevenfold, marking A7X's only U.S. appearance in 2025. The stadium run concludes at Rogers Stadium in Toronto on September 3, featuring alt-metal veterans Deftones.
Rising instrumental rock group Polyphia and newcomers Wisp will open all three shows, creating a full evening of diverse heavy music.
These stadium appearances represent rare performances from System of a Down, who have been highly selective with live shows since their initial hiatus in 2006. The band's most recent musical output came in 2020 with the singles "Protect the Land" and "Genocidal Humanoidz" - their first new material in 15 years.
Fans can access tickets through an artist presale beginning Wednesday, December 11, with additional presale opportunities throughout the week. General public ticket sales start Friday, December 13 at 12 p.m. local time.
The current System of a Down lineup remains unchanged, featuring vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist Daron Malakian, bassist Shavo Odadjian, and drummer John Dolmayan. Prior to these stadium shows, the band will headline the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas in April 2025.
